St Bridget’s Day 2023

Mark, Paudie and Lenny had a great day out in Kildare for this year’s St Bridget’s Day. They had breakfast in the lovely Agape restaurant before moseying over to the Kildare Heritage Centre where they were given a warm welcome. The virtual reality experience was phenomenal, and everyone learned new things about Kildare that could not be found anywhere else. We’d love to thank our guide, but they stayed in character the whole time, so much so we became convinced they really were a medieval resident of Kildare! After this adventure, we went up to St Bridget’s Well itself. We were thoroughly impressed by the beauty of the place and felt such joy at taking part in the old tradition of dipping our rags in the water of the well and hanging them from the fairy tree.
